Frequently asked questions
Do I need to book to get new tyres fitted?
Not usually. Give us a call on 09 435 4545 so we can check your size is in stock, then drop in. If we need to order your tyres in, we'll let you know when they'll arrive.
Are cheap tyres worth it?
Sometimes, and we'll tell you when they are. A value tyre like Supercat suits plenty of vehicles, but for heavier vehicles, towing or a lot of open-road driving, a better tyre usually lasts longer and grips better in the wet. We'll give you a straight answer either way.
How do I know when my tyres need replacing?
The legal minimum tread depth in New Zealand is 1.5mm, but wet grip drops off well before that. Uneven wear, cracking or bulges in the sidewall are also signs. Pop in and we'll check them for free.
